Ronaldo is frustrated with Ralf Rangnick’s tactics
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Manchester United midfielder Luke Chadwick commented on Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent declining performance. According to him, this is inseparable from Ralf Rangnick’s choice of tactics.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been under the spotlight after not scoring this year. In fact, the striker’s goals are expected to improve Manchester United’s position.
The problem has gotten more complicated as Ralf Rangnick is starting to get rid of Ronaldo from the main squad. Ronaldo only came on as a substitute when Man United were held by Burnley 1-1. It was the fifth time Ronaldo has not started this season.
Chadwick believes this condition has made Ronaldo frustrated. Moreover, CR7 always has high motivation to be the main player and gave his best.
“I’m sure Ronaldo is unhappy. He wants to be a starter in every game. He will not see himself as a player who is getting older and needs more time off,” said Chadwick to Caught Offside.
Currently, Ronaldo are already 37 years old. However, the player still believes he can compete with other Man United strikers.
“Ronaldo is one of the best players ever. He wants to be a starter all the time. I’m sure Ronaldo will be frustrated. Ronaldo had some chances but didn’t have a big impact.”
Chadwick is not worried about how Manchester United fans view Ronaldo’s declining form. He is more focused on the star’s mentality.
“Ronaldo was born a winner. That way, there may be frustration because he didn’t start the game as a starter,” he stated.
Next, Manchester United will meet Southampton in the match week 25 of the Premier League 2021-2022, at Old Trafford Stadium, Saturday (12/2). Man United currently occupies the sixth position after collecting 39 points from 23 matches.
