Roy Keane Called De Gea Crazy For Making A Fatal Mistake
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Spanish national team goalkeeper David De Gea made a fatal mistake when Manchester United drew 1-1 against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday (01/03). The Red Devils legend Roy Keane is angry and called De Gea crazy.
Everton easily opened the scoring after De Gea made a sweep that actually hit Dominic Calvert-Lewin and broke into his own net. Quoted from Talk Sport, Roy Keane judged the fatal mistake made by the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper was a silly act.
“He’s crazy. Is he trying to be too smart? What was he waiting for to have a long time with the ball?,” said the former Man United captain.
Keane rate De Gea shouldn’t need to make such mistake. Because at this time, every game played by the Red Devils is very important to reach the top four of the Premier League standings. He also added that he would replace De Gea with another goalkeeper in the second half.
“Manchester United is trying to reach the top four, but he (De Gea) did something like that. He shouldn’t have done that, he was experienced and a national team goalkeeper. If I am Man United’s manager, I have replaced De Gea in the second round,” he concluded.
Quoting Opta’s record, De Gea has blundered seven times since last season’s Premier League. That was also the same note as those Arsenal goalkeepers Bernd Leno and Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United.
