DBasia.news – Daniel James and Gareth Bale came into the Wales squad in great condition. Ryan Giggs, Wales national team coach, was thrilled to see the performance of both players.
Daniel James and Gareth Bale were two players who are receiving the spotlight at their respective clubs. The latest player, James, has packed three goals in four Premier League matches with Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale proved that his abilities has not run out at Real Madrid. Being rumored to be kicked out to China, the former Tottenham Hotspur player actually created two goals in three matches.
Seeing this, Ryan Giggs was ready to play Bale and James simultaneously. Giggs believes, the two players can be the backbone of the Wales national team in the 2020 European Cup qualifiers.
“They both play at club level and both have shown a neat performance. Both players scored. I think they have been waiting for this moment to appear in the match,” Giggs told Sky Sports.
“Daniel James has recorded a slick appearance at the beginning of his career with Manchester United. He played an important role for us in the last few games. Specifically, last summer when the situation was challenging,” he explained.
Ryan Giggs is aware, so far the Wales national team has been too dependent on Gareth Bale. But now, with the ability of Daniel James and other players, Giggs is optimistic that Wales would be able to talk more.
“This is not just a matter of Gareth Bale. Of course, with everything he can do, abilities, pressure and highlights will come to him.”
“I want to ease the pressure a little. We cannot depend on him in every game. We have other talented players in the squad,” concluded Giggs.
