Salzburg Playing Like Liverpool
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Liverpool will host Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League at Anfield on Thursday (10/10/2019). This meeting made Klopp remember a similar club in Germany, Red Bull Leipzig.
According to Klopp, Red Bull’s coach, Ralf Rangnick, showed a very different training pattern and made them able to play a very good game pattern.
“Ralf Rangnick is developing something different in Germany: everything is about suppressing opponents and back pressure,” Klopp said as quoted by the official Liverpool website on Wednesday (10/10/2010).
Added by Klopp, that Salzburg has a good emotional closeness from how to play with RB Leipzig in Germany. But interestingly said Klopp, that Salzburg is very similar to the teams that he fostered like Dortmund and Liverpool at this time.
“Arguably Salzburg sees themselves very close to Leipzig, but the philosophy of the game is similar to what we did when dealing with FSV Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, and of course now at Liverpool,” he said.
Salzburg, according to Klopp, is currently filled with many talented young players. This is an excellent capital for Salzburg in the 2019-20 season.
Regarding the match against Salzburg, Klopp said that the match would be fierce and difficult.
“You could say they are like our ‘younger siblings’. That also makes this match difficult, because they do everything they can when they survive, especially since they’ve been waiting to be able to appear in the Champions League,” Klopp said.
