DBasia.news –  Real Madrid’s go-to forward, Karim Benzema, is not a striker the public praises. For the most part, there are many among them that criticize the player for his bad plays.

Coaches come and go training this 13 title Chmapions League. Benzema has withstand Santiago Bernabeu for a decade. In the last two seasons, from Zinadine Zidane, Julen Lopetegui, to Santiago Solari, Benzema has always been the go-to player in Madrid’s front line.

31-year old striker, Benzema is a unique striker. His main duty is to score goals, but he has other roles, which makes him the typical striker to play the playmaker.

Don’t be surprised to see Benzema move back and forth fetching the ball, and is active in every strike Madrid builds. The game has distance him from the opponents goal and has made him score less.

However, Benzema is still basically a striker: as much as possible, even with the smallest odds, he converts them into goals. As if finding his strength back to perform, Benzema has recently scored two goals for Los Blancos.

Both of Benzema’s goals helped Madrid win 3-1 to Girona in the second leg Copa Del Rey quarter final, Friday (1/2) early dawn WIB (Western Indonesian Time). Both goals has also confirmed his status as one of the legends and Madrid’s all time top scorer.

Quoted from Marca, Benzema has scored 209 goals for Madrid and has made him the sixth top scorer in the history of the team. The amount of goals flew past the other Los Blancos legends, Hugo Sanchez, had 208 goals.

There are five other top scorers above Benzema, which are: Cristiano Ronaldo (451 goals), Raul Gonzalez (323 goals), Alfredo Di Stefano (307 goals), Santillana (288 goals), dan Ferenc Puskas (242 goals). Benzema has a chance in equally setting Puskas’ record goal, 33 goals adrift

Benzema’s goals details are: 136 goals in LaLiga, 47 goals in Champions League, 20 goals in Copa Del Rey, three in the club World Cup, two in Spain Super Cup, and one in the European Super Cup

“I’m saddened for the people have missed Benzema all the time. There is still time to follow him, to those who have just seen him last week,” Solari praises Benzema while outright quipping the haters.
