Man United vs Wolves
DBasia.news – Wolverhampton Wanderers again beat Manchester United in a match of Week 32 of the Premier League. Man United lost 1-2 and Scott McTominay still failed to understand his team lost in the match.
McTominay scored United’s only goal in the match – the first goal with the senior team before Diogo Jota replied and Chris Smalling’s own goal.
The Scottish pass player considered Man United not worthy of losing against Wolves because he played better in the first hour. But, the situation changed when Jota scored and Ashley Young received a red card.
“A strange night. I sat with players in the player’s dressing room thinking ‘How can we not win the match?’ But goals changed the match and we were very unlucky. Children were upset and the results were difficult to accept,” said McTominay on Goal.
“We played very well in the first half, for an hour, and we didn’t react well enough to their goals as we normally did.”
“Since the first time we played with a good rhythm. We continued to attack, we had so many opportunities, and the game changed quickly,” added the 22-year-old.
Although United failed to win full points, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still praised McTominay’s performance as United’s best player in the match.
“Scott has never let us down and today he is performing very well. So, it won’t be difficult to see him play for Man United in many games,” Solskjaer added praising McTominay.
“He has a great mentality, he is very athletic, he can play in many different positions. Today we feel his best position is an offensive midfielder, but he can play in a defensive role. So, I am very happy with his performance,” he explained.
