Shinji Kagawa Won’t Retire Before Fulfilling His Dream to Play in Spain

But, entering the end of his career, Kagawa still has a dream to play in Spain. Throughout his career, Kagawa just played for Germany and England. Moreover, this season, Kagawa wasn’t the main choice for Lucien Favre squad.

“I want to solve the current situation as soon as possible. One way is to change the team. I want to change the environment and the challenge,” Kagawa told Nikkan Sports.

LaLiga in Spain is his next target. He heard many positive things from the Spanish colleagues like Juan Mata, David De Gea, and Paco Alcacer.

“I have always been thinking about how I can go to Spain in the last couple of years. I can’t retire without going to Spain,” Kagawa added.

“Spanish colleagues who I’ve had were great, De Gea, Mata, Alcacer … Everyone felt up and shared a lot with private things,” the 29-year-old player continued.

If Kagawa really comes to Spain, he would meet his compatriots like Takashi Inui (Real Betis) and Gaku Shibasaki (Getafe).
