DBasia.news –  Simon Mignolet assists in Club Brugge’s goal against Manchester United. Man United’s goal once again conceded thanks to the opposing team’s assist.

MU travel to Club Brugge headquarters in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32. Compete in Jan Breydelstadion, Friday (2/21/2020) early morning Western Indonesian Time, Red Devils get a 1-1 draw.

Emmanuel Dennis put Club Brugge ahead in the 15th minute. MU responded in the 26th minute through Anthony Martial’s goal.

Dennis’s goal was created thanks to assists from Mignolet. The former Liverpool goalkeeper released a long stomach feed which was then completed by Dennis. Although escorted by two MU players, Dennis can lift the ball past Sergio Romero who left the nest.

There is a special note that Mignolet inscribed through his assist. Reported by Opta, Mignolet became the first goalkeeper to contribute assists in the Europa League since Guilherme for Lokomotiv Moscow against Sporting Lisbon in September 2015.

Interestingly, Dennis’s goal seemed to be deja vu for MU. Last month, Manchester United also conceded through a similar scheme when they travel to Liverpool headquarters.

Alisson Becker was the creator of Liverpool’s second goal scored by Mohamed Salah in injury time. In a counterattack situation, the Brazilian goalkeeper sends a long pass with his right foot towards Salah.

Although bothered by Daniel James, Salah can still control the ball. The Egyptian striker then dribbled into the penalty box and beat David De Gea.

That means the last two goals nested in the MU goal in an away match were both created by the goalkeeper’s assist, from Mignolet and current Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson.

Mignolet has strengthened Liverpool in 2013-2019. He recorded 204 appearances during the Reds uniform.
