Sir Alex Ferguson Underestimated Jordan Henderson

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Former Manchester United legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, once underestimated Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson.

Quoted from his autobiography, Sir Alex said that Henderson’s career would not be smooth. In the book published in 2013, Sir Alex revealed the reason for his argument regarding Henderson’s career.

“We often monitor Jordan Henderson and Steve Bruce to be quite enthusiastic about him. But when I noticed, Henderson ran from his knee with his back straight, “Sir Alex said in his book.

“Modern footballers run with their hips, and we think that running style can cause problems for his career later on,” Sir Alex added.

Of course Sir Alex’s remarks in his book proved to be wrong. Since coming to Anfield in 2011, Henderson became a central player in the Reds midfield. The 4 titles given by Henderson to Liverpool are proof that running style is not a problem for the 29-year old midfielder.
