DBasia.news – Steven Gerrard, Rangers manager, wants to return to borrow Ryan Kent from Liverpool. Responding to the issue, Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool legend, tried to give his advice to Jurgen Klopp.
Kent, 22, last season loaned Liverpool to Rangers. He scored six goals and gave nine assists from a total of 43 matches. Gerrard is rumored to want to return to borrow Kent and bring him back to Ibrox.
Dalglish is an admirer of Kent. He hopes Liverpool can maintain him as Kent has the potential to enter the Reds first team in the 2019/20 season, even though the club already has the sadio Mane trident, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah on the front lines.
“I am sure Jurgen Klopp will try to help Steven Gerrard whenever he can. We have all seen the number of players who traveled from Anfield to Ibrox (Rangers headquarters) since Steven became the manager of Light Blues,” Dalglish said at the Mirror.
“However, Jurgen’s priority is his own team and at the moment, Klopp needs Kent. If Kent appears impressively and can really attract the attention of the manager, then he may not be allowed to go as Jurgen sees him as a first team squad.”
“Alternatively, (offering with) big funds can come to Ryan, and it will be a decision, whether to sell him or not. We still have to wait and see what happens. Rangers must be patient with this one,” explained Dalglish.
