DBasia.news – Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric performed great against Sevilla on the 20th-week of LaLiga at Santiago Bernabeu, Sunday (20/1). Even though his head is wrapped due to wound, Modric played really well and Santiago Solari hails him.

Modric had an incident at Santiago Bernabeu. At 38′, the Croatian player must be treated by the medical team due to the serious injury in his head after the clash with Franco Vazquez. The hard bump made his head bleed. To handle it, the medical team stitched the wound.

Amid the serious injury, Modric was still eager to play. He returned after the treatment. With that condition, Modric even created one goal ensuring Madrid won the match 2-0. Modric scored the goal at 90+2′.

Seeing this situation, Solari feels really proud. He hails him after the match. He thinks the Ballon d’Or winner is the nearly perfect player.

“Modric was outstanding today, taking into account he had a big cut over his eye, was getting stitched up during half-time. He is a fighter, that he ends the game scoring the goal tells you his spirit, and that of the time,” Solari said cited by Goal.

“In the context of him sustaining a heavy cut on his eye, when he had to spend the entire of half-time getting it fixed. He is a warrior in this team and scoring the goal at the end typifies his spirit and determination, everything that is good about the team, he put in a complete performance,” he said.
