Solskjaer Admits To Not Knowing How To Maximize Alexis Sanchez’s Play Potential

DBasia.news – Manchester United had experienced a momentum and consistency in playing well under the care of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They have gone through 11 undefeated matches in a row in all competitions.
Not stoping there, the 45-year-old also managed to explore the potential of the players, the most obvious example is Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who have scored a total of 18 goals in the Premier League.
Unfortunately, the Red Devils unbeaten record finally came to an end when they hosted Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the top 16 Champions League, Wednesday (13/2) early dawn. The visitors won 2-0 through Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe’s goals in the 53rd and 60th minutes.
In the match, Solskjaer was forced to make a substitution in the 45th minute, Jesse Lingard who could not continue the match because of an injury was then replaced by Alexis Sanchez. But the Chilean player was again unable to take advantage of the opportunity given by the manager and displayed a performance that was far from satisfying.
Responding to the defeat and Alexis who continued to display poor performance, Solskjaer finally opened up on the matter. The Norwegian gave a signal as if he had lost his mind to help his players return to their best form of play.
“I can’t do anything (to return Alexis Sanchez to his best form). He has to find his own solution because honestly he is one of the quality players,” Solskjaer said after the match as reported by Goal.
Since deciding to leave Arsenal and try his luck at Old Trafford, Sanchez has yet to manage his optimal performance, even in total he has only broken the opponent’s goal five times.
The defeat over Paris Saint-Germain has amde United be in a difficult situation, if they still want to go on to the quarter-finals, the 20 Premier League title owner must score at least three goals. Not only that, Solskjaer also has to rack his brain because they would not be able to let out Paul Pogba who got a red card
