Solskjaer Disappointed on AZ Alkmaar Headquarters Grass Condition
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The condition of the Cars Jeans Stadium, AZ Alkmaar’s headquarters, has made Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feel disappointed. According to the Manchester United coach, the condition of the stadium was very alarming. Synthetic grass should not be used at Cars Jeans Stadium, given the fairly warm climate in the Netherlands.
In the past two months, AZ Alkmaar has had to play in their home turf at the Cars Jeans Stadium. The reason is, their headquarters, the AFAS Stadium is currently undergoing repairs after a fairly severe damage in August.
Cars Jean Stadium itself was built to be one of the arenas used in the ice hockey championship event. Which has forced the Cars Jeans Stadium to use synthetic grass as AZ Alkmaar’s temporary base.
“Using synthetic grass is normal in Norway. The field conditions here are one of the worst to my knowledge. In Norway, fields with synthetic grass is better, “Solskjaer stated as reported from the Sky Sports page.
“I would not even play Paul Pogba on this field if he could be played. Maybe this condition will not really affect the game of young players, “continued Solskjaer added.
The match against AZ is Manchester United’s second party in the European League this season. Two weeks ago, they won their first victory in the Europa League this season after defeating the representative of Kazakhstan, FC Astana.
