Solskjaer Glad Lingard Returned to his Best Performance
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said Jesse Lingard has returned to his best performance which after a long period of injury has filled United’s old hole in midfield.
Lingard has never been relegated as a starter in the league since last September before returning to play a key role when he took part in winning Manchester United over Tottenham and Manchester City.
“Everyone in us has things that must be addressed on and off the field, and what he overcomes is what we want,” Solskjaer said.
“He’s a Man United man forever. He’s the Red, he has great manners and a high work ethic.”
This season the 26-year-old player has suffered two seasons of injury until he lost his place in the England squad but his performance against Spurs and City lately has been a strong message to England national team manager, Gareth Southgate, to call him again ahead of the Euro 2020.
“It’s great to be able to work with him. I made him a backup, I gave him his debut as a backup against Burnley. It’s good to see he has returned to his old performance,” Solksjaer stated.
