DBasia.news – Manchester United achieved the 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion on the 23rd-week of Premier League, Saturday (19/1). That’s the 7th consecutive victory of The Red Devils under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The two goals came from the penalty kicks of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford in the first half responded by Pascal Gross’ goal in the next half. Solskjaer created the new record as the only United manager of all time who created six consecutive victories in the league during the debut.

It’s not easy for United to defeat Brighton. In the second half, Ashley Young and friends playing rhythm declined, gave the mood for Brighton to score the goal. Solskjaer admits his team couldn’t always play fantasy football in every match.

“Sometimes you make it hard work. I thought we played some great stuff at times. At the start of the second half, we could have finished the game with great chances,” Solskjaer told Goal.

“But in any game of football, you are never sure until it’s over. Last 20 minutes we were in trouble. They do dig deep. The boys showed against Tottenham and today that we don’t give up and there’s a great team spirit.”

“You can’t always play fantasy football. At times we did and it’s a great three points,” Solskjaer concluded.

With this additional three points, Man United are just three points behind Chelsea in the Champions League zone (fourth position). Chelsea got defeated 0-2 against Arsenal.
