DBasia.news – Manchester United won when they beat Southampton with a score of 3-2 at Old Trafford, in the 29th week of the Premier League, Saturday (2/3) evening WIB. Man United had fallen behind 0-1 from a goal scored by Yan Valery.
In the second half, the hosts managed to equalize through Andreas Pereira’s fantastic goal in the 53rd minute, six minutes later, Romelu Lukaku managed to turn things around and make his team lead 2-1. Unfortunately the advantage did not last long because James Ward Prowse managed to outwit De Gea through his free kick.
The Red Devils’ three points were finally confirmed through Romelu Lukaku’s second goal two minutes before the referee blew the whistle at the end of the match. Unfortunately, the success of winning three points must be filled with Alexis Sanchez’s injury. The Chilean player could not continue the match after receiving a hard tackle by Jan Bednarek, he was later replaced by Diogo Dalot in the 52nd minute.
After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also hinted that Sanchez seemed to have a serious injury. The Norwegian man also suspected that the player have suffered a ligament injury on his knee.
“We still don’t know (what injury Sanchez suffers), further investigations will be carried out tomorrow (Sunday). Maybe Alexis Sanchez has a problem with ligaments on his knee. Hopefully not too serious,” Solskjaer said as quoted by Goal.
Although Sanchez has not shown significant improvement in performance and often starts the match on the substitute bench, the injury to the former Barcelona player is quite a detrimental thing for United, especially when they have been troubled by the problems of player injury. Previously Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera had first entered the treatment room.
Not only that, the club that owns 20 Premier League titles is also faced with a series of crucial matches, including the Champions League last 16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain, away party against Arsenal and challenging Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals. .
