Solskjaer’s Severance Pay is no Greater than Mourinho’s

This is due to the poor performance shown by the club nicknamed the Red Devils. Apparently, the cost of compensation for letting go of Solskjaer is much smaller than that of Mourinho.

Previously, Manchester United had to spend up to 19.6 million pounds to provide severance to Jose Mourinho. This amount cannot be separated from the manager’s salary and the remaining duration of the contract.

Interestingly, when compared to the previous manager, Louis van Gaal, the cost of firing Solskjaer was also still cheaper. When Manchester United broke Van Gaal’s contract, the costs were 8.4 million pounds.

Meanwhile, the manager after Sir Alex Ferguson’s era who received the least compensation was David Moyes. The former Everton reportedly only received severance pay of 5.2 million pounds.
