DBasia.news – The penalty kicks from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United achieved the 2-1 victory agaisnt Brighton & Hove Albion on the 23rd-week of Premier League, Saturday (19/1). The entertaining goal of Brighton at Old Trafford came from Pascal Gross.

The result is the 7th consecutive victory under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the manager who replaced Jose Mourinho since last December. They achieved six victories in the Premier League and another one in the FA Cup.

Solskjaer, 45, is the only United manager who could win six initial matches of Premier League. Besides the special record for Solskjaer, Rashford also has a good memory from that match.

The 21-year-old England striker scored his 150th performance with United by 41 goals and 23 assists. Since promoted to the main squad by Louis van Gaal in 2015, Rashford achieved the Europa League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield titles.

With England nationaml team under Gareth Southgate, Rashford helped Three Lions achieved the semifinal round for the first time since 1990. In his young age, Rashford still has a long way to go.

Against Brighton, Rashford shows the star quality when penetrating the contender’s defense, dribbling the ball in the right side of Brighton, and scoring the goal from the narrow corner to David Button’s goal.

“At the moment he is very confident in front of goal. He finishes. He tries to shoot. He doesn’t think twice about it. He is so calm and assured when he is finishing,” Solskjaer told BBC Sport after the match.

“That was the first thing I said to him when I met him. He had missed some chances and I said: ‘No problem. You’ll be all right, just settle down a little bit.'”

The compliment from the manager who was the top striker in his period continues. Solskjaer is glad he could coach him.

“You can argue for many strikers but I’m glad he is in my team. No-one beats him on work-rate. No-one beats him on attitude,” he added.

“You must be like that, see the way he plays. Of course, he has played a lot of football over the past six or seven weeks. He has played all matches in the past few weeks. He has just grown in confidence, the maturity of the way he plays, but the level of work never stops and that is the most fun.”

Learning from the great final executor like Solskjaer could enhance Rashford’s performance. Later, the player who was born in Wythenshawe, October 31st, 1997, could be Europe top striker with the ability to combine speed, flexibility, and accuracy in the contender’s box.
