Starting the Next Season, Serie A Will Follow the Premier League
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Variative and very colorful. That’s how the team’s costumes feel at the Serie A event. No exception in the use of fonts for player names and numbers on their backs and pants. It is a distinct differentiator from other leagues, especially the Premier League.
However, starting next season, the phenomenon is threatened to disappear. The reason is that Serie A is currently working on a uniform plan in all the costumes of the highest caste Italian soccer team. Yes, they want to follow in the footsteps of the Premier League and several other leagues.
According to Calcio e Finanza, the plan to uniform the font in the jersey was almost final. Serie A is now looking for a unique font that will be used by the entire team, no matter who sponsors the apparel.
The thing that underlies the management of the Italian soccer league is to formulate the plan, among others related to legibility. There are some fonts that are considered not too clear when viewed through a television screen. In recent years, according to Calcio e Finanza, such cases always appear.
If it is really enforced, next season’s Serie A will feel like the Premier League. In addition, the same thing applies in LaLiga, Ligue 1, and the Portuguese League. Even in those leagues, the fonts used by all clubs are the same.
Regarding the use of uniform fonts, an interesting case appeared in LaLiga. Real Madrid has defied on two occasions. One of them was last season when it won 2-0 over Getafe. However, Los Blancos was then fined for losing in court.
Even though it will be uniformed later, there will still be opportunities for Serie A teams to use the font provided by the apparel sponsor. Among other things on costumes used in the arena of European clubs. Until now, UEFA has not enforced uniformity of fonts in the Champions League and Europa League.
