Targeted by Liverpool and Man United, Napoli will not give discounts to Kalidou Koulibaly
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Napoli warned that they would not let Kalidou Koulibaly go cheaply. They insisted that the defender’s value would not go down during the Corona virus pandemic.
Kalidou Koulibaly was transformed into one of the best defenders in Europe after joining Napoli in 2014. Koulibaly is known as a doorstop that is straightforward and does not compromise much.
The action has sparked an interest in Manchester United. The Red Devils believes, Koulibaly is an equal companion for Harry Maguire.
After failing last summer, Manchester United will reportedly re-bid. This time, Man United hopes that Napoli will give a discount as the European economy is suffering from a corona virus pandemic.
Unfortunately, the request was denied by Napoli. Even Il Partenopei is more inclined to defend the Senegalese defender.
“He is a great football player. The club does not have the right to ask for the desired price,” said Giuntoli, as reported by Sky Sports 24.
Napoli reportedly has set the price of Kalidou Koulibaly worth 90 to 100 million euros. This amount is fairly high for a player who plays as a defender.
“They say the negotiations will change. However, in my opinion it is just an alibi. I don’t think the corona virus pandemic will change the price of Koulibaly or other top players,” the sport’s director stated.
“Of course, however, we will respect contract formulas such as loaning with purchasing options. That will help delay guarantees and facilitate balance. Football will adapt quickly.”
Kalidou Koulibaly’s career did not go smoothly this season. The 28-year-old defender has suffered a long injury and has only played in 15 matches in Serie A.
