The City of Milan United for the Sake of the New Stadium

DBasia.news –  Alessandro Antonello, Inter Milan senior, confirmed the club’s intention to build a new stadium. To make it happen, Antonello hopes AC Milan will work together.

Inter Milan want to leave the Giuseppe Meazza. Not without reason, the stadium which has a different name, San Siro, belongs to the city of Milan. As a result, La Benemata did not get the maximum income from the stadium sector.

Inter and Milan have discussed the problem of the new stadium a few months ago. Reportedly, the two clubs agreed to build a stadium near the San Siro. Meanwhile, the old stadium will be destroyed after the construction is over.

“The stadium is a very important asset in modern football. We are working together at the San Siro Stadium and soon will tell the mayor of Milan about the decision taken,” Antonello explained as reported by Sky Sports.

Modernizing San Siro can indeed take longer and costs more than building a new stadium. Also, Inter and Milan need to find a new stadium when San Siro is being restored.

“We hope to undergo collaboration with AC Milan and authority at Milan,” continued Antonello.

The San Siro officially named the Giuseppe Meazza was opened in 1926. The legendary stadium had undergone several renovations for the 1990 World Cup.
