The Mastermind Behind Ronaldo’s Transfer to Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – From just an underestimated rumor until becoming reality, mega transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus is really happening. Bianconeri paid him £100M and an additional £12M for a four-year contract.
Many people are skeptical of Ronaldo’s repeated success in Manchester United and Madrid while he is in Juventus, on his 33 years. But Ronaldo is Ronaldo, the player who won five Ballon d’Or and five Champions League titles.
Juventus fans’ euphoria of his coming is happening all over the world. It still feels surreal to get one of the world’s best players.
Juventus’ success to recruit him is the result of management’s teamwork, involving Juve’s CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, and also Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes.
Marotta admitted, Juventus’ achievement to recruit him based on two facts: Ronaldo’s interest to join Juventus and started since Juve negotiated with Valencia to get Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo’s agent was also Mendes. During the negotiation process, Mendes stated Ronaldo’s intention to join Juventus. Hearing that, Juventus caught the golden opportunity.
“It was a great team game, yes, I’m happy, very happy. The real protagonists of this team are the player himself and the Juventus shareholders. It was Cristiano Ronaldo who was the first to believe in this, the first to launch it. He chose Juve,” Marotta said as reported by Football-Italia.
“And when we understood that we could seize this opportunity, the shareholders of the club agreed to support the move. I insist, it was a great team game. It all began when we started dealing with Joao Cancelo, who has the same agent of Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes.”
“We want to express maximum satisfaction and happiness for Cristiano and his choice to come to Juventus. Cristiano is very happy to being able to play for one of the most important clubs in the world, he has already decided where he will live, a beautiful penthouse in the center of Turin,” Marotta explained.
Ronaldo is now having a holiday in Greece and was meeting Agnelli there. Ronaldo’s holiday is longer due to his participation with Portugal national team during 2018 World Cup. Portugal was going home during 16-round knockout.
