DBasia.news – Some European clubs targeted the best-selling midfielder Luka Jovic. The 21-year-old striker is playing great with Eintracht Frankfurt.
21 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions are proof of the sharpness of the Serbian striker. Jovic became the top scorer in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City are some of the big European clubs that are currently monitoring it. Frankfurt also wants to cement the Jovic purchase clause from Benfica for six million euros.
With purchases at that price, Frankfurt can sell more than 60 million euros to interested clubs. However, Fredi Bobic, as Frankfurt Sports Director, dampened the speculation, saying no offers were coming from other European clubs.
“He (Jovic) is developing, he’s great, he’s scored a lot of goals. What do I know? We’ll see about it, but there is nothing (bid) in February and now March, because big clubs also have to see it first, “Bobic explained on the Goal.
“Are they league champions? Are they playing in the Champions League? It will be determined later when they make big offers.”
“I’m not worried. First of all, let’s see if we can achieve something this season, that’s the most important thing,” Bobic continued.
Furthermore, Bobic also denied that the Red Star Belgrade academy product was offered by Bayern, who reportedly had conducted a negotiation process with Frankfurt.
“I do not know. I do not know what happened behind me (talks about rumors of transfers), I can only say that there was officially no talks (between Bayern and Frankfurt),” concluded Bobic
