This Is Liverpool’s Weakness Point
By news-admin
Dejan Lovren
DBasia.news – The former Liverpool player Phil Babb thinks Dejan Lovren as the main weakness of The Reds. It’s assumed based on his performance against Manchester City.
City won 2-1 against Liverpool at Etihad Stadium.
This doesn’t change the position on the table. But, The Reds’ dominance of City is becoming smaller. Liverpool still lead the table with 54 points, 4 points higher than City.
In that match, Lovren failed to guard Aguero. Consequently, the Argentinian player netted the ball at the end of the first season.
“But, if you look across that back line, you would probably say the weakest link is Dejan Lovren – and that proved to be (the case), pretty much last night. He had a sketchy game at best. Some of his distribution was poor, (the) decision making,” Babb said.
“Even towards the end, when Liverpool were pushing forwards and (Virgil) Van Dijk was up, he (Lovren) was playing straight balls into the box – and you would probably say you need to angle them, so there is a better chance for the second ball and the knockdown.”
“But what do you say about Sergio Aguero? He is genuinely a world-class striker and a great asset for City,” Babb added.
