DBasia.news – The last matchday of the Champions League group phase of the 2019-2020 season has just ended. Several participating clubs in Europe have certainly made it into the last 16 of this league.
Several top clubs were eliminated from the Champions League group phase. Call it Inter Milan and the previous season’s semifinalist, Ajax, who went down to the 2019-2020 Europa League.
From Group A, no surprises are created. Two excellent teams, PSG and Real Madrid, too, was the case with Group B who passed Bayern Munchen and Tottenham.
A small surprise was created in Group C. Atalanta who started the Champions League with three defeats successfully escaped accompanying Manchester City into the big 16 phase.
Meanwhile, from Group D and E, the superior teams made sure they passed. Juventus and Atletico Madrid represent Group D, while Group E is represented by Liverpool and Napoli.
In Group F, Inter Milan failed to qualify for the 2019-2020 Champions League knockout phase. Antonio Conte’s squad is unable to compete with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.
The relatively balanced Group G and H also ensured their respective representatives. RB Leipzig topped Group G which Lyon participated in, while Valencia and Chelsea represented Group H.
