Toni Kroos Retires from the German National Team after the 2020 Euro

DBasia.news –  Toni Kroos has joined the German national team squad at the 2010 World Cup. Joachim Low had called him after he performed well with Bayer Leverkusen at the age of 20 years old.

Since then, the Real Madrid player has been consistent to enter in Der Panzer’s senior squad. In fact, he became part of the team when he won the world title in 2014 by beating Argentina 1-0 at the top of the party.

Although his career with the German national team has gained success, there are indications that Kroos will decide to retire from the national team after performing poorly at the 2018 World Cup.

However, the player who plays as a midfielder is in fact still reluctant to end his international career, and has given a sign of retirement after undergoing the 2020 Euro.

“After undergoing the Euro 2020 tournament, it’s just the right time to think about it (whether to retire or not),” Kroos stated as reported by Goal.

Considering that he is about to turn 30 years old, Kroos seems likely to not be strengthening the German national team, after following the Euro 2020. As some of Der Panzer’s veteran players like Thomas Mueller, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng will no longer be called by Loew.
