DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Moussa Sissoko, commented on his team’s defeat with a thin score 0-1 when they hosted Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League semi-final leg one on Wednesday (1/5) early morning Western Indonesian Time.
According to Sissoko, Tottenham could lose to Ajax because the team made by Erik ten Hag managed to intimidate his club. So Sissoko felt when the new match took place, Tottenham could not bring out the best game because of the pressure obtained from Ajax intimidation. Because of that, Tottenham played the first half very badly.
“The start of the match was not good for us, we might have been intimidated by the challenge (given by Ajax). We cannot play our football,” Sissoko said, quoting from the UEFA official page.
Sissoko himself did not play from the start, because when the game started he was in the reserved seat. But as a result of Jan Vertonghen’s nose being injured, Sissoko finally played in the 39th minute. He only had a short period in the first round, but when the second half was played, Sissoko began trying to reduce the intimidation emitted by the Ajax players.
“I tried to restore the impact (of Ajax intimidation) in the second chapter. Because of that our second round was much better. We can do our games better, but I still lost the match. But we can still reply in the second half,” Sissoko said, as reported by Sportskeeda.
