DBasia.news – The departure of two talented talents from Italy, Patrick Cutrone and Moise Kean, from their hometown quite surprising, happened in the transfer market this summer.
Moving to the best league in the world can indeed be seen as a good thing for their development, moreover, they can get more hours of play. But, still, the departure of Cutrone and Kean was quite disappointing for Italian soccer fans.
Because Cutrone and Kean represent AC Milan and Juventus academy products. Amid the lack of talented talents who are believed to play in the first team and could be potential future players of the club, especially because they represent the values of the club, Milan and Juventus actually let them go.
Cutrone and Kean were no more victims of club policies in order to make money. Both Juventus and Milan both prefer to rely on foreign strikers as their spearheads: Juventus have Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain, and Mario Mandzukic, while Milan rely on Krzysztof Piatek.
Cutrone, 21, joined Wolverhampton Wanderers and was contracted for four years. The ‘forced’ departure made Cutrone sad, but, he tried to stay professional with Wolves.
“Milan? Well, I’m sad to leave Milan, but that’s life. Nevertheless, I’m very happy to join a club that wants me,” Cutrone said, quoted by Calciomercato.
“I will give everything and I am happy to join the Premier League team. Wolves fans? I can not wait to start playing and feel their support,” he explained.
Cutrone sadness is common. Cutrone has been in Milan since 2007 and moved this year. He represented the talents of the Rossoneri academy, but as Piatek’s presence and the arrival of Rafael Leao, Cutrone was forced to be sold by Milan.
While Kean, a former Juventus academy player from 2010-2016, moved to Marco Silva’s Everton. The 19-year-old striker joined Everton on a five-year contract and a transfer fee of 27.5 million euros, plus a variable 2.5 million euros.
Kean was interested in joining Everton because of a large project underway by the club which had recruited Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph.
“I feel confident about the decision to join Everton because the club is concerned with success in the future and I also feel the same,” Kean said on the official Everton website.
The departure of the two from the club that raised their name was quite disappointing. But seen from the positive side, it could be that the move is good for Kean and Cutrone who are prepared to be the future striker of the Italian national team.
At the moment, Gli Azzurri has no attackers who are truly reliable and tend to rely on familiar names such as Ciro Immobile, Andrea Belotti, Fabio Quagliarella and Mario Balotelli.
