DBasia.news –  Reflecting from France national team’s success in 2018 World Cup, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer firmly chose Paul Pogba as the captain of Manchester United. He thinks Pogba deserves the status.

Paul Pogba got the good news after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the interim manager of Manchester United. In contrary, previously, the former Juventus player showed his declining performance under Jose Mourinho. Moreover, The Special One put off the co-captain ban from Pogba.

Solskjaer thinks Pogba is the right person to lead the squad from the pitch. Moreover, other players like Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young couldn’t perform consistently.

“I know the boy from before, and he is a leader. He’s a character, he influences people, and you’ve seen the videos from France, and he cares, and he really wants to be successful,” Solskjaer said cited by Soccerway.

“He knows he can’t do it by himself, it’s a team game, and he’s a character that brings so many good things with him when he’s enjoying himself, I have to say.”

“You see the personality. He’d love playing football, he’s a larger-than-life character, that’s just the way he is,” the manager continued.

“When the performances come as well, that marries together as a good leader and you see what it meant to him winning the World Cup in what France broadcast. So, for me, yes, he’s captain material.”

Solskjaer asked everyone to end the problem about Manchester United’s captain ban. Moreover, he thinks everyone has the chance to be the leader.

“So there are 11 captains out there, really, it doesn’t really bother me. I was captain for Norway and quite a few times for United, but I still don’t tell my kids I was captain of Man United or Norway,” Solskjaer said.

Next, Manchester United will have the difficult match against Arsenal on the fourth round of the FA Cup at Emirates Stadium, Friday (25/1). The Red Devils just got one defeat in 12 recent matches in FA Cup’s fourth round.
