Valencia: They Supposed to Win Against Man United

Valencia vs Man United
DBasia.news – Valencia stole one point when they visited Manchester United home at Old Trafford Stadium in the second matchday of Champions League.
Despite the satisfying result, Valencia coach Marcelino thinks that his squad should win the match.
In that match, the away team could compete with Manchester United even though they just scored one shot to the opponent’s net.
“We were due to a win and Anoeta has given us a self-esteem boost,” Marcelino said.
“It’s a short competition, but there are always surprises. We all play against each other, but we are approaching this game like a final. The Juventus match taught us things we cannot forget. We will have to play the perfect game,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Valencia captain Dani Parejo admitted that his team couldn’t create many opportunities in that match. However, he assumed that the squad was successful to make Manchester United couldn’t threat their defense.
“We played a great game, they tried long balls because they have tall players. We (could) have scored against them, but we could not. We are happy, but we deserved a bit more,” he declared.
The draw result made Valencia sit in the third position of Group H Champions League with one point. Meanwhile, Manchester United are in the runner-up position with four points.
