Virgil van Dijk Modestly Chooses Lionel Messi as Ballon D’Or Winner Candidate

Virgil van Dijk –  Liverpool have managed to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Champions League final at Wanda Metropolitano, Madrid, Sunday (2/6) WIB. Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk, also talked about the Ballon Or after the match ended.

Liverpool’s two winning goals were scored by Mohamed Salah through the white point (2 ‘) and Divock Origi (87’). Virgil van Dijk was named the best player in the final.

According to Virgil van Dijk, one name that is more worthy than him is Lionel Messi. For him, Messi remains the best player in the world even though he was unable to bring the Barcelona team to the final.

“I think Lionel Messi is the best player in the world. He must win the Ballon d’Or,” said Virgil van Dijk as quoted by Express.

“So I didn’t think about it. But if I win, I will achieve it. Messi should win. He is the best in the world, in the final or not,” he continued.
