DBasia.news –  The PFA, as the Professional Football Association in the United Kingdom, always gives the British Best Player award every season. In this season, players from Manchester City and Liverpool are expected to dominate the award.

Regulations prohibiting players from a team from being able to make choices to their partners make voters have to cast their votes on opponents whom they consider appropriate to get the award.

The Reds mainstay defender, Virgil van Dijk, revealed that he had given his choice to the mainstay striker of Manchester City, Raheem Sterling, whom he considered showed remarkable progress throughout the 2018/19 season.

“I gave Raheem Sterling a choice because I felt he deserved the award. “The performance he showed this season is incredible, along with Bernardo Silva, and several other Manchester City players,” Virgil van Dijk said in an interview quoted by the BBC.

In the Premier League competition, Sterling has appeared in 25 matches (three as substitutes) and contributed 15 goals and nine assists, a factor that has become one of the determinants of City’s consistency throughout the season.
