AXA Mandiri appointed Vladimir Smicer to encourage the public to have a healthy life style with exercising. Meanwhile, football is chosen as it is the most popular sport in Indonesia.
Smicer gave training to Indonesia’s young generation represented by Soccer Garuda Baru, SMPIT Taruna Islamic School and Academy, also a few representative from the Indonesian Liverpool supporters, BigReds.
The event started off with Q and A between Smicer and the BigRed. Then the event shifted into the main program which is to give training to young players.
In that occasion, Smicer trained the young players to pass, shoot, and also a mini tournament. Smicer is seen to show his skills once in a while.
According to Vladimir Smicer, young Indonesian footballer has room to improve as long as they have a strong will. That’s determination can beat any ability the opponent has, even if they are above average.
“The main key to being a professional footballer is hard work. Simple as that. Other players will have better abilities, but we can overcome that with hard work,” says Smicer at the Grand Futsal Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the President Director of AXA Mandiri, HAndojo G. Kusuma states that this health campaign program is an attempt to push the people for a healthier lifestyle.
“Besides that, Liverpool’s slogan ‘You’ll never walk alone’ is also in the lines of AXA Mandiri’s campaign this year, which is ‘With us in every moment”. This campaign is our initiative to actively participate and encourage a healthier Indonesia,” explains Handojo, In between events.
Vladimir Smicer headed towards Liverpool from 1990-2000. The Czech Republic player has won a number of titles such as the FA Cup, Champions League, and English Cup League.
