DBasia.news – The former Manchester United striker who is currently strengthening DC United, Wayne Rooney, has a message to United’s new recruits this summer, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The 21-year-old right-back is said to have agreed to join United from Crystal Palace. The Red Devils purchased him for 50-55 million pounds and Wan-Bissaka will be contracted with a five-year contract duration (until 2024).
Wan-Bissaka was purchased to take the place of United’s right-back. As in that position there were no players who performed convincingly starting from Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, to Diogo Dalot (minimal experience). Moreover, United have been left by Antonio Valencia.
The England U-21 member will be the second purchase of United’s under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s care. His first recruit came from Wales, Daniel James, who was recruited from Swansea City for £ 18 million.
With the transfer price, big expectations have strengthen United, Wan-Bissaka will always get great pressure to continue to be able to provide the best performance. Rooney, who played in United in mid-2004-2017, had a suggestion for his young compatriot.
“Play without fear. Manchester United is a fantastic club, one of them is not the best football team in the world. You must accept it, respect the culture of Manchester United, learn the history and do your best,”
“I am sure that if he (Wan-Bissaka) does it he will be fine and I am sure the coaches there also say the same thing,” he explained.
Added by Neil Shipperley, former Palace player, Wan-Bissaka’s official tag was appropriate and beneficial to both parties. United receive the players they want and Palace receives money that worth with the sale of Wan-Bissaka.
“There is no fight for his price offer. Manchester United is the only one. There is no more coming for him. So, you are not at war. I think 50-55 million pounds a fair deal,” added Shipperley.
