Kroasia Vs England

DBasia.news – The match between England against the host Croatia in the UEFA Nations League will be without spectator.

Why? It’s related to the sanction from UEFA to Croatia following the Nazi banner incident in the Euro 2016 qualification against Italy.

UEFA banned Croatia to conduct the home match with no spectator for two matches.

Besides the home match with no spectator, Croatia also got a point dismissal in the UEFA 2016 qualification round, even though they still passed the final round in France.

The first punishment to conduct a match without spectator has been conducted in October 2015 against Bulgaria. The question is why the time span is so long to the second punishment?

It’s due to in the match against Bulgaria in October 2015, Croatia never got the home match schedule in the competition under UEFA. For the next home match against Spain in the UEFA Nations League, Croatia could open the stadium for the public.

For England, the victory against Croatia would be very important. Besides to return the defeat in the semifinal round of the World Cup, England must win to open the possibility to qualify for the Nations League final in summer.

In contrary, if England lose, they could be in the bottom position of the group and would be degraded from the League A. Apparently, in the first match, The Three Lions got a 1-2 defeat against Spain at Wembley Stadium.
