DBasia.news – Lionel Messi revealed that Barcelona never lose the ambition to win the Copa del Rey. Apparently, it’s not the second competition for them compared to the LaLiga and Champions League.
Barcelona went to the semifinal of Copa del Rey after defeating Sevilla 6-1 in the second leg of the quarter-final at Camp Nou Stadium.
Messi said it’s the proof that Barcelona never underestimate Copa del Rey. “It was said that we were throwing the cup or that we didn’t want it. My message was misunderstood,” Messi said.
“We will fight in three competitions, as is our obligation. At Barcelona, we fight for everything,” the megastar added.
Besides that, Messi talks about his decision to give the penalty kick for Philippe Coutinho. La Pulga wants to return Coutinho’s confidence.
Philippe Coutinho was the star of the match by scoring two goals.
“He took one against Levante and he wanted to take it. We spoke about it, he took it and I’m happy because that’s where everything started,” Messi said.
