“And the players will also try it. We will find a solution and we will find it. Now we have to prepare for Saturday’s game (against Barcelona in LaLiga).”

Who would have thought the two favorites to qualify for the knockout stages of Madrid and Inter Milan failed to win. Madrid lost to Shakhtar, while the Nerazzurri drew 2-2 against Borussia Monchengladbach.
One interesting note from Madrid’s defeat is the fact of the ‘curse’ of Sergio Ramos in the Champions League. Quoted from Marca Madrid have now lost seven of eight matches in the Champions League without the captain.
Sergio Ramos cannot play due to injury. Without his leading figure, the Madrid team lost their seventh defeat without the former Sevilla defender. Several matches ended in defeats for Madrid without Ramos against CSKA Moscow, Ajax Amsterdam, PSG, and most recently Manchester City.
His condition was even worse against Ajax and Man City because Madrid were immediately eliminated without Ramos. Believe it or not, Madrid needs a leader like Ramos who can inspire his team. It’s not an easy job to find a successor to the 34-year-old player.
