DBasia.news – Liverpool had two consecutive defeats of all competitions. After defeated by Manchester City 1-2, The Reds defeated with the same score in the third round of FA Cup, Tuesday (8/1).

For the first time since 8 years, Liverpool got eliminated in the third round of FA Cup. In 2011, Liverpool got defeated 0-1 from the rival, Manchester United.

“If we win the FA Cup, people will stay say ‘but you didn’t win the Premier League for 425 years’,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said.

Perhaps, Klopp did this on purpose to focus in the Premier League and Champions League. Hopefully, Klopp won’t regret this decision.

Visiting Molineux Stadium, Klopp changed the squad by sending Simon Mignolet, Alberto Moreno, Daniel Sturridge, and Divock Origi since the first minute. But, in the first six minutes, he must change the player because Dejan Lovren got injured.

Ki-Jana Hoever entered the pitch and Fabinho guarded the center-back. Wolves played really organized, neat, and made it difficult for Persib to create the attack and opportunity.

Moreover, Liverpool got the counter-attack at 38′. Diogo Jota gave the ball to Raul Jimenez who converted it to a goal. Wolves ended the first half with a 1-0 score.

In the second half, Liverpool equalized the score by Divock Origi who passed Leander Dendoncker’s feet and netted the ball to John Ruddy at 51′.

However, the dominance only persists for four minutes. After that, Ruben Neves scored the beautiful goal from outside the box by his kick and Mignolet couldn’t anticipate it. 2-1 for Wolves.

Klopp tried to send Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah to add the goal. However, the goal didn’t happen until the final whistle. Liverpool got defeated 1-2 at Wolves’ home.
