DBasia.news – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola still demands an increase from his team even though City have just carved out the history of the domestic treble winners in the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.
The Citizens won a half-dozen goals (6-0) over Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday night Western Indonesian Time (18/5). David Silva scored one goal with Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus, while the other three goals were bought by Raheem Sterling.
Guardiola, who is indeed famous for perfectionists, does not want his team to be satisfied with the achievement and want an increase in the next season.
“We have to (develop), you can always develop. It makes no sense to stay like this,” said Guardiola, as quoted from the Goal.
The Spanish manager gave a special award to his foster children who have worked hard and fought throughout the 2018/19 season. Without their hard work, Man City will not be able to reach the historic treble.
“This is a great final for us and we have finished a very great season,” added Guardiola.
“To all the people at the club, very big congratulations, especially to the players because they are the reason why we won these titles,” he concluded.
