Xavi Hernandez Believes Real Madrid Will Soon Rise Up from the Downturn
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The 2018-19 season was the benchmark for Real Madrid to win a trophy this season. How not, last season Madrid failed to win the title of La Liga and also the Champions League.
Zinedine Zidane’s return and the purchase of several new players are expected to pump Los Blancos’ performance in all competitions. However, some of the early results of the season showed Real Madrid’s difficulty appearing consistent. El Real have drawn twice in the first four La Liga matches.
Finally, the holder of the Big Ear trophy must be defeated 3-0 at PSG in the Champions League on Thursday (9/19). The defeat leaves Zinedine Zidane’s position as Real Madrid coach under threat.
But unlike the general opinion that assesses El Real is now in a state of crisis, former Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez believes Sergio Ramos et al can rise from a bad situation at the beginning of this season.
“No, (I) don’t at all (doubt Madrid). I’ve lived it many times. Madrid has a thousand lives. Last year was a mirage. Real Madrid will compete in all competitions again. Definitely,” said Xavi.
“For now, the old players are playing, but let’s see what happens with the new players. I think Madrid will compete for sure.”
“A big revolution is indeed expected, but in the end, Madrid is always there.”
