Zlatan Ibrahimovic Explained Why He Didn’t Return to AC Milan

DBasia.news – Zlatan Ibrahimovic was rumored returning to AC Milan this January. But, the striker refused the offer from Milan and decided to stay with the current club, Los Angeles (LA) Galaxy. Ibra said he wants to present the title for LA Galaxy.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was associated with AC Milan since last year. The former Juventus player was rumored returning to his former club.

It’s also rumored that both communicated about the return. But, Ibrahimovic ended the speculation by saying that he would stay in MLS.

Furthermore, Ibrahimovic also talks about his reason not returning to AC Milan. The 37-year-old striker is challenged to achieve the title in the US.

“The first number one priority was to stay at the Galaxy because I feel I still have a lot to give to the team, the MLS and the fans,” Ibrahimovic explained as cited by Calciomercato.

“The way we closed last season was not normal for me, because normally where I go, I win. I did not succeed here and this is not good for me. I think the fans deserve more than we did,” the bomber revealed.

“For the next season, I want to feel challenged in this regard. The first season I used to understand how I was, at what level I was, especially after my injury. I had not played more than ten minutes for a year and showed the world what it was. I have shown, however, that I am here, that I am alive and this was important to me.”

So far, Zlatan Ibrahimovic supported three Serie A clubs, Juventus, Inter Milan, and AC Milan. Ibrahimovic played really great with 122 goals and 45 assists in 219 matches.
