AC Milan Striker Not Afraid to Wear the Back Number 9

DBasia.news –  Krzysztof Piatek will change his jersey number ahead of the 2019-2020 season. The 24-year-old striker will wear number 9 at AC Milan.

Since the legendary striker, Filippo Inzaghi, used in 2012, the number that is identical to the striker’s back number has become a curse for his owner in Milan. But, Piatek is not worried and can’t even wait to wear it in the new season.

“I can’t wait for the new season. I also can’t wait to play on the match by wearing jersey number 9. The goal remains the same (scored a lot of goals). Forza Milan,” said Piatek on an Instagram account.

Last season, Piatek scored 11 goals for Milan and Serie A and scored 22 goals in total – the other 11 were scored for Genoa. The Polish passport bomber recently moved to Milan in January 2019 replacing Gonzalo Higuain. He was trafficked from Genoa for 35 million euros.

Piatek, with a new back number, is expected to continue his sharpness converting opportunities to goals in the 2019-20 season under the direction of Marco Giampaolo.

If Piatek could do it, continuing his sharpness of scoring for Milan, then the former Cracovia player could end the curse of the number 9 user who last had a stroke of good luck when worn by Inzaghi seven years ago.
