Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan Finally Docks in Serie A

Alexis Sanchez

DBasia.news –  Henrikh Mkhitaryan followed in the footsteps of Alexis Sanchez to restore his performance in Serie A, Italy. Mkhitaryan has undergone medical tests at AS Roma who loaned him from Arsenal.

Giallorossi will loan him for one season, including transfer funds and to pay Mkhitaryan’s salary without a permanent purchase option at the end of the contract. The contract is the same as Sanchez from Manchester United to Inter Milan.

Mkhitaryan has been seen wearing a Roman scarf as he will reunite with former Manchester United team-mate, Chris Smalling, who was also on loan for a season. Looking at the transfer, it is understandable for the public to start comparing Mkhitaryan with Sanchez.

Both of them became part of the barter of players involving Arsenal with Manchester United. Barter players that occur in the winter transfer market 2018 or more precisely January 2018.

Sanchez was labeled a failure (flop player) at Manchester United, be it in the era of Jose Mourinho or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The spotlight on him is getting wider because of the large salary he receives there. Instead of appearing as expected, Sanchez rarely plays, is often injured, and is inconsistent.

Man United had loaned him to Inter’s Antonio Conte. Sanchez will meet Romelu Lukaku there, however, Sanchez is only on loan, not the same as Lukaku who is being sold permanently. His move is expected to revive Sanchez’s career.

“Alexis has to go – right now we know he’s been here for 18 months and the situation isn’t working well for him. For him to start again, play regularly and score goals, then this will benefit everyone in the end,” Solskjaer said some time ago in the Guardian

“For us, we will watch every week to see Romelu and Alexis playing together. He (Sanchez) will make a big contribution to them (Inter).”

Mkhitaryan too. The Armenian cannot be said to be successful at Arsenal as he rarely appeared consistently. Even this season Unai Emery is more likely to give confidence to Mesut Ozil and Dani Ceballos to play as attacking midfielders.

Like Sanchez, Mkhitaryan is expected to be able to resurrect his appearance with Rome. Sanchez-Mkhitaryan on paper is a quality players, but both are no longer the same as they used to be since becoming part of the player barter.

“The Sanchez-Mkhitaryan exchange deal must be one of the worst deals made in the Premier League. Both are now in Italy,” said the owner of the LPC Management International licensed football agent, Liam Paul Canning.

Hopefully both of their performances will return to their proper levels in the 2019-20 season.
