DBasia.news – Alexis Sanchez is still the topic of conversation because of his poor performance. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, manager of Manchester United, defended him from criticism.
Alexis Sanchez is in trouble at Manchester United. The former Arsenal player just scored two goals for the Red Devils in various events.
Alexis Sanchez’s position is increasingly cornered after several other players have performed brilliantly. The Chilean player failed to compete with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to get a position on the front lines.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still holds great hopes for Alexis Sanchez. Moreover, the player had suffered an injury.
“If he can score goals, I’m sure that it will get his self-confidence back. That’s what happens when you go through a bad period and don’t reach the standard. I think he is a very good player,” Solskjaer said as ESPN reported.
“He is very talented, but of course there are only so many things that you can talk about and manage. He can still play for years to come,” Solskjaer said.
“I have been here for two months with him. He was injured at first. So, it is unfair to hope Sanchez will immediately return to the peak of performance,” he stressed.
