Andriy Shevchenko’s Praise to Gennaro Gattuso

DBasia.news –  Andriy Shevchenko, legend of AC Milan, gave praise for Gennaro Gattuso’s good performance in reviving Rossoneri’s performance. The former teammate was considered successful in returning Milan’s playing identity.

Since being appointed to coach Milan in 2017 replacing Vincenzo Montella, Gattuso instilled a football philosophy and a strong character in Alessio Romagnoli and mates. Milan are always playing with high determination which represents Gattuso when he was still actively playing.

Seeing Milan’s development over the past two years under the direction of Gattuso, Shevchenko gave a high rating to the legend in the mid-1999-2012 period. Especially at this time, Milan are struggling to maintain a place in the Champions League zone.

“I will give (Gattuso) the highest rating. Rino has given enthusiasm back to the fans, but above all he also proves that he is a very talented coach, he is developing at a great job,” Shevchenko said praising Gattuso, quoted by Calciomercato.

“Milan have a clear identity. It’s been a long time since they fought for (the zone) Champions League. Gattuso has a lot of positive values, along with (Paolo, Director of Milan) Maldini and Leonardo (Milan Sports Director),” he explained.

Milan currently sit in fourth place in Serie A with 51 points from a total of 28 matches that have taken place. Their position is not entirely safe as it can still be overtaken by Roma, Lazio and Atalanta.
