Arjen Robben Scored A New Record

DBasia.news –  Arjen Robben has successfully scored a new record in the Champions League. He is the Dutch player with the second highest goalscoring achievement with 30 goals.

Bayern Munchen won 5-0 against Benfica in the group phase of Champions League at Allianz Arena.

In that match, Die Roten’s victory was presented by two goals from Arjen Robben, and the three other goals were from Robert Lewandowski and Frank Ribery.

The result brings Bayern Munchen lead the Group E table with 13 points and secure one ticket to the knockout phase of 2018/2019 Champions League.

Besides the club achievement, Arjen Robben also set an impressive individual record. Two goals to Benfica’s goal bring the former Real Madrid player to collect 30 goals throughout his career in the Champions League, 25 of them were scored during his 13 seasons with Bayern Munchen.

The achievement brings Robben as the second top-scorer surpassing Robin van Persie (25 goals), Roy Makaay (29 goals), and Patrick Kluivert (29 goals). However, Robben’s goal achievement still behind Ruud van Nistelrooy who scored 56 goals during his career.
