Arsenal finds it challenging to play in the Champions League Next Season

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Martin Keown is unsure that Arsenal can qualify and play in the Champions League next season.

One of the teams who are also eyeing tickets to qualify for the main round of the Champions League next season is Arsenal. Sitting in ninth place of the standings, Arsenal are only eight points away from fourth place occupied by Chelsea.

However, Arsenal legend, Martin Keown feels pessimistic about the chance of his former club. According to him, if observing the remaining matches in this season, Arsenal will have a little difficulty to realize it.

“The problem faced by Arsenal in the last two and a half seasons is their away matches. That is their biggest stumbling block. In this season they only won twice from 13 away games, and the next three matches for them are away games against Manchester City, Brighton and Southampton, “said Keown as quoted by Goal.

“If you are a Manchester United player and you look at the schedule that Arsenal have, it’s no wonder you’ll say ‘good luck.’ United are a bit more fortunate in this regard. “I doubt Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League because of that,” he added.

Failure to qualify for the Champions League next season is clearly not a good thing for Arsenal who have missed playing the last two seasons. Their absence from the world’s best European club tournament could affect the club’s finances in terms of Champions League earnings.
