DBasia.news –  Ian Wright, Arsenal legend, was very disappointed with the decision taken by Laurent Koscielny. So much so, Wright criticized the agent and Koscielny.

Koscielny, 33, refused to take part in Arsenal’s pre-season tour and remained in North London. The former Lorient defender is reportedly absent from training so he can leave for another club and several clubs from France are interested in taking him home.

Wright was very disappointed with Koscielny’s decision, especially considering his status as captain of the team and one of the senior players who has strengthened the club from 2010.

“He (Koscielny) has provided his services very well, we have all seen him play with pain and build a legacy and legendary status that deserves to be earned,” Wright stated, quoted by Standard Sports.

“It’s time for the season (preseason) when everything should be united together. We are preparing to play a challenging season, a transition period, a lot of things we have to pursue.”

“For our captain to refuse to take part in a pre-season tour after a very good nine years of service, destroying a little inheritance by refusing to play for the club is something that is very hard to believe for me,” he said.

Apart from being disappointed at Koscielny, Wright also expressed his frustration at the agent who convinced him to rebel.

“Why Laurent? Who is your advisor and what did they say to you? I am very disappointed with the decision you made this time, if your agent sees this, and I hope so, you are very embarrassing, embarrassing, for doing this to him and convincing him, “Wright added.

“There is no way you can tell me that he made this decision on his own. You were the one we chose as captain, our leader, and now we will go to preseason with our captain refusing to take the tour.”

“This is something that is inexhaustible for me and I pray to God that it can be resolved immediately or later. That is not a good example, Arsenal must do something fast and discipline. I love you, Laurent, but this is a bad decision,” concluded Wright.
