DBasia.news – The 69-year-old coach, Arsene Wenger, no longer handles the club after leaving the club he has trained for 22 years last season, Arsenal. Reportedly, Wenger will become Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Sports Director.
At present, the position is occupied by Antero Henrique. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, as the President of PSG, flatly denied the issue which reported that Wenger would become Director of Sports Les Parisiens.
“I have a very good relationship with Arsene. I am close to him and know him for quite a long time. He is a great manager, very sharp (sensitive), and has complete football insight,” said Al-Khelaifi, reported by Goal.
“But we already have the Director of Sports, Antero Henrique, whom I believe very much. I hear the media constantly saying Arsene will come to fill the position. It’s too much. Let us work, please. Antero does his job very well,” he concluded.
Wenger had indeed said he was ready to move again as of January 2019. Previously, the former Nagoya Grampus Eight coach had more time to spare as an observer of European football. Whether it’s as a coach or commentator, Wenger will return to activity in the world of football.
