AS Roma Winger Involved in Hip-Hop Documentary Films

The documentary released exclusively on the club’s official YouTube channel is the first of several films that will be launched as part of the collaboration of AS Roma and Black Arrow.   

Earlier this year, Roma and Black Arrow, a lifestyle brand from the United States, which focused on the relationship between football and black culture, announced a breakthrough partnership that would see the two entities work together to create original digital content in Italy, Nigeria, and the United States. The first series of this collaboration tells the story of a native New Yorker, Mel D. Cole, when he flew to Italy to spend time in Rome and its surroundings, before photographing his first European football match at the Stadio Olimpico.

This film tells the story of how Mel first fell in love with the world of photography – after he brought a disposable camera to a Common concert in New York – and saw the career track record of Mel who had photographed celebrities such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and The Roots, before finally documenting his trip to Rome, when he was invited to the home of Justin Kluivert.
